Santa's Little Helper

The colors in this week's inspiration photo at The Card Concept are one of
my all time favorites. You can never go wrong with red, kraft, white and black!
It's a true classic!

I used the mug from Verve Stamps Get Together set and colored them with my Prismacolor pencils. The sentiment is from STAMPlorations

Masculine Monday #48

I'm continuing with the Gus digi images from Bugaboo for this week's
Masculine Monday card.
I think they're hilarious!
And this one has the sentiment built right into it.
How easy is that!

I pulled out my Prismacolor pencils and all kinds of colors and just had
some fun coloring.
Next I mounted it onto some black card stock and then using some craft
foam I added it to a card base that I had embossed with the
Woodgrain Embossing Folder from Stampin' Up!

Pretty easy!

Happy Stampin'
and thanks so much for visiting!

StampNation News and Challenge

StampNation is a community where stampers can learn, share and
connect with each other. It's a place where you can grow as a stamper.
I was looking back at the cards I made before I joined StampNation
and comparing them to the cards I've made since joining and I can
honestly say I've come a long way. (Not to say that I don't have more to
learn because there are always things to learn)

The StampNation community has grown so much that it only makes sense
that the site needs to grow with it. So, for the month of December the site
will be closed to new members to launch the new web site but don't worry,
it'll re-open again in January. Don't want to miss out on all the excitement
in December?
Then sign up today and join this amazing community!

And while you're there you can join us in our newest challenge.
We're challenging you to make a card of any theme you want - the catch is
we want you to make a co-ordinating envelope.

Check out the sneak peek below.

Can you guess which one is mine?

Happy Stampin'
and thanks so much for visiting!

Masculine Monday #47

This week's Masculine Monday card is all about fun.

Growing old is mandatory...
Growing up is optional!

So true!

I took the last week off of stamping to focus on some personal things
But today I was back in my craft room - organizing and finding old
forgotten items that will be making their way onto some cards soon.
The first one being this one.

I forgot to check the back of the frame on this card before I stuck it
down to see where it was made - sorry.
The image is called Gus Birthday - Optional from Bugaboo.
They have some really fun images.

I colored him in with my Prismacolor pencil crayons, split the
sentiment into two, sponged the edges and added it to the frame with
some craft foam for dimension.

A quick and easy card and I had fun coloring too!
That's a win, win in my book.

Happy Stampin'
and thanks so much for visiting!

Masculine Monday #46

Is anyone singing the song?
You know which one I'm talking about.
I made this card this morning and now I can't stop singing
'Who let the dogs out, who, who?

Sorry if it's stuck in your head now.

I woke up this morning thinking
"Oh no, I forgot about Masculine Monday!!"
So I whipped into my craft room and stamped and masked out some
dogs from Tim Holtz.
I added some balloons because what's a birthday without balloons?
Next a quick sentiment and some balloon strings.
Now for the coloring ...
usually I can take a long time with this part - stressing over which
colors to use and where is the light coming from for shadows but....
because I had a small window of time to get this made, colored,
photographed and onto my blog, I went with really simple
coloring and not a lot of thought.

I grabbed my Prismacolors and used two colors per dog and balloon.
A lighter shade went on first and then a darker one in the areas for
shade and then I blended it all together with the lighter shade.

I used my white gel pen for some high lights on the balloons and
the noses.

That's it.
Pretty quick and easy when you don't second guess every decision.

Now if I could only stop singing that song!

I'm playing along with the following challenges:
Watercooler Wednesday - masculine "anything goes
Craftaholics R Us - masculine
Fab 'n' Funky - masculine

The Last One

A card with no stamps or ink?
Yup!

I think this is my favorite wreath die - and it comes with the joy die too.
It's from the Winterhaven Collection from Catherine Pooler Designs.
It's perfect for the challenge we have for you at

Check out the inspiration photo.

I know the picture says Candy Canes on it but I was inspired by the
picture of the wreath so I went with that.
I die cut the wreath in white and in cherry cobbler. I cut the berries off the cherry cobbler one and glued them onto the white one. It took a bit of time
but I love how it turned out.

Sadly, this is our last challenge.
It has been a pure joy to be part of this amazing design team for
the last 2 years. I have 'met' some amazing people and had an absolute
blast designing cards for all the challenges.

Check out the Christmas Card Challenge DT's cards HERE and I hope to
see your cards in the gallery.

Spreading Joy

I'm playing along with two challenges with this card.
The Gerda Steiner Monthly Challenge

Less is More challenge.

I love the image that Gerda Steiner has for us this month - a mouse
on a swinging ornament - how adorable!!
I embossed the ornament with gold embossing powder.
The texture on the trim and pompom of the hat are made with some
Chunky White Deep Impressions Embossing Enamel from Stampendous.
The sentiment is from Hero Arts.
The rest is colored with my Prismacolor pencil crayons.

Happy Stampin'
